I graduated high school from Webster County in Dixon, KY in 1981.  I received my associates degree in applied science with accounting technology from Paducah Community Collage in Paducah, KY in 1984 and worked in accounting for 20 years.  In 2010 I decided to go back to school and get my teaching degree.  I received my bachelor of science degree in Exceptional Learning and development in 2014 from Bethel University in McKenzie, TN.

The first year after graduating I worked as a special education assistant at Henry Elementary School.  The first half of the year I worked with K-5th grade and the second half I worked with 6th-8th grade.  The next year I taught the CDC class for grades K-8th grade.  Last year I taught Kindergarten in Jackson, TN.  I am excited to be with the Humboldt Jr/Sr High school this year and look forward to a great and successful school year.

I was born and raised in a Baptist minister's home in central Illinois until the age of seven.  At that time my family moved to Sharpe, KY and then to Sidonia, TN.  Eventually we moved to Diamond, KY where I finished my high school years.  In 1986 we moved to McKenzie, TN where I still reside.  I have a 23 year old daughter who graduates from Bethel University in December with a degree in Health and Wellness.  We attend Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in McKenzie, TN where we are active in choir, children's church, nursery, Sunday School, and youth group.
