Bio

I am a native of the magnificent city of Memphis, Tennessee. A product of Memphis City Schools, I graduated from Melrose High School in 1996. After an illustrious academic and athletic career, I graduated from Lane College with honors in the Spring of 2001. I worked for one year teaching 6th grade in Holly Springs, MS. In 2003, I worked for the TRIO Program at Lane College as a middle school counselor for ETS. In the Fall of 2004, I began my career as an elementary school teacher with JMCSS. After working for several years at Nova Elementary School, I returned to school. In the Fall of 2008, I completed a Master’s Degree from Lipscomb University in Nashville. I am currently entering my 15th year of teaching. I have been featured in several newspaper articles, chaired and served on numerous committees, taught several grades, presented content at faculty meetings and in-service events. I have served as past P.T.O. President and have been selected Teacher of the Year. I look forward to being able to serve Humboldt City Schools as Head of Girls Basketball Operations (PreK-12), Head Volleyball Coach, and Head Girls Basketball Coach.
