Pankey scored 46 points in wins over Bradford and Trenton Peabody as the Vikings improved to 4-0 in district play.

Pankey joined forces with Anthony Jones in the post against the Red Devils as each had 17 points in the win.

But against Peabody, Pankey went off for 29 points as Humboldt pulled away late in the second half.

Pankey has shown this week the potential that he has in the post. The type of play isn’t needed in every game for Humboldt to be successful, but it does show that he will be ready when the toughest teams in District 14-A try to knock the Vikings out of the top spot.

After playing North Side in a nondistrict game on Saturday, Humboldt has two more District 14-A games this week with a home game against Lake County on Tuesday and a road trip to Greenfield on Thursday.
