I have 22 years experience in education with the Chester County and Jackson-Madison County School Systems.  The last 5 years I served as principal at Parkview Learning Center in Jackson.  Prior to that I have been an assistant principal, alternative school director, and teacher.  I taught P.E. and Lifetime Wellness at Chester County High School and Jackson Central-Merry High School.  I also coached baseball and cross-country at both schools and was an assistant boys' basketball coach at CCHS.    

I graduated from Chester County H.S. in 1978.  I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Freed-Hardeman College in 1982, a Master of Education degree from Freed-Hardeman University in August, 2010 and an Education Specialist degree from Freed-Hardeman University in May, 2014.

I am married to Robyn Newman and I have 3 children, Amanda, Garrett, and Tyler who have blessed me with 5 grandchildren.  

I enjoy sports, working out and running.
